The original galaxy tab p1000 was a device launched quite a time back from now. Despite it being capable to run latest verision of android samsung denied any further upgrades from android gingerbread. Due to it having a good 1ghz processor and a hefty 512mb of RAM. Many custom roms are available for it now.
Thanks to humberos team it gets the taste of latest android availale i.e android 4.2.2. In this post i will give you step by step guide on how to install humberos custom android 4.2.2 rom on your galaxy tab p1000.
Please note: I will be in noway held responsible for any damage caused to your device during the process. Please follow every piece of instruction carefully.
REQUIREMENTS :
1: A rooted galaxy tab with a custom recovery installed.( Learn how to root from here )
2: humber os custom rom file. Download link below

3: Google apps for anroid 4.2.2. Download link below

4: please see that your tablet is charged to minimum 70%
INSTRUCTIONS:
1: Download bothe files i.e the ROM and the Gapps package rom the links posted above.
2: Connect your tablet to your pc via usb cable in mass storage mode
And transfer the downloaded files to your sd card and dont transfer them too deep into a folder just keep them in a place where they are very easy to locate.
3: Now boot into recovery by turning off your tablet and turning it on
By holding the power and the volume up button till you see the galaxy tab logo.
4: Now once in recovery navigate to "wipe data and factory reset" using volume buttons and select it using the power button. Run it.
Now select "wipe cache partition" and run it.
5: Now select 'install zip from sd card" and find the humber os file you transferred. Select and run it.
6: Once the installation is complete select 'install zip from sd card ' and now select the Gapps.zip file you downloaded.
7: Once the installation complete. Reboot your tablet. It will take long for the tablet to bpot for the first time.
ENJOY NOW YOUR TABLET HAS ANDROID 4.2.2 ON IT.
